Have any of you tried Freeway Pro? what did you think of it? I know most of you web people will tell me to code it by hand. I would love to find a solution that is easier to use than dreamweaver. This sounds pretty great to me! I think it generates the code at the end rather than during, so you don't have a code view. i'm just not very good! Supposedly it works a lot like other design software (especially Indesign) and is more intuitive for designers. ![]() I know it won't produce the same quality code as if I did it by hand but I have to face the facts. Freeway Pro was also suggested for it's ease of use and good code. I feel it cripples my design ability because I cannot re-create my original designs in Dreamweaver. I have also been giving Dreamweaver another shot but find the learning curve to be pretty steep. I've been following some basic HTML/CSS tutorials online and have to admit, I don't enjoy coding very much. The best alternative to iWeb is probably EverWeb at the moment - go and take a look at There are other alternatives such as RapidWeaver, Sandvox, Freeway Pro/Express, WebAcappellla 4, Flux 4 and others, so take a look at what suits you best and you can download free trials of all of these. Its ease of use and integration make it a smart choice for someone who wants a professional looking site that they can get up in running in no time. Overall, I think Wix is a viable replacement for the iWeb/MobileMe combination.
